Confirmation of Plan
The Confirmation of Plan is the official act of the bankruptcy court approving a Chapter 13 repayment plan. At the conclusion of the 341 Meeting, if the Trustee is satisfied that all of the debtor’s income and assets are listed on the bankruptcy petition, and provided that there are no outstanding objections by creditors, and that the petition complies with all other provisions of Title 11, the Trustee will recommend confirmation of the Chapter 13 plan. While the Trustee recommends confirmation of the Chapter 13 plan, it is the U.S. Bankruptcy Court that approves the bankruptcy plan. Should the court accept the Trustee’s recommendation and the plan is confirmed, a standard confirmation order will be entered by the court.
