341 Meeting
The 341 Meeting, also called a Meeting of Creditors, is a tape-recorded meeting between the debtor, the Trustee, the debtor’s attorney and creditors, at which the debtor is questioned under oath about the debtor’s assets, liabilities, income, expenses and the debtor’s proposed repayment plan. Debtors are required by law to attend. They must provide a photo I.D. (usually a driver’s license) and Social Security Number before the hearing can take place. They may also be required to bring certain other information or documents. If so, they will be advised by their attorney.
